Hideo Kojima Reaches Major Milestone in Death Stranding 2 Development

Kojima Productions has just completed an important stage in the development of Death Stranding 2. According to Hideo Kojima, the main actors for the Japanese dub have officially finished their work on the sequel. To mark the occasion, the game designer shared photos from the recording session.
On the final day, the studio worked on voicing a key scene featuring all six actors simultaneously. Their names reveal that the scene includes Sam, Fragile, Dollman, Tomorrow, Deadman, and Tarman.
Today's Japanese voice recording. It was for an important scene with six people at the same time. And with that, it was a wrap for Kenjiro Tsuda, Nana Mizuki, Tomokazu Sugita, Shion Wakayama, Akihiko Ishizumi, and Mitsuru Miyamoto. It’s been 10 months since the first recording. As happy as I am, it also makes me quite sad. But we haven't finished all the Japanese recording just yet. Thank you all for your hard work. Thank you so much. It was fun. Looking forward to working with you all for the next one.
To celebrate the milestone, the team wrapped up the day with a champagne toast and a photo session.
Kojima is set to appear at the SXSW 2025 festival on March 10, where he will share new details about Death Stranding 2. The game is scheduled for release in 2025 on PS5.
