Epic Games Artist Unveils Unique Batman Redesign
Vladislav Nikolaev
Fred Arsenault, a Senior Character Artist at Epic Games who worked on Fortnite, has decided to create his own take on Batman, one of DC's most iconic superheroes.
In his work, Arsenault depicts Batman with a massive body and a tiny head in a stylized, cartoonish fashion. The images also feature the character without his superhero costume. The artwork was created using Maya, ZBrush, Substance 3D Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, and Photoshop.
«Sweet!!! Love the proportions,» commented Jared Kime, developer on Wayfinder and Darksiders 3.
«I love this batman so much, amazing work,» said Philemon Belhomme from the French studio Shiro Games, who worked on the Dune strategy game Dune: Spice Wars.
«Awesome character,» added Rakan Khamash, a developer on Overwatch 2.
Previously, another artist showed off what a remake of the RPG Fallout 4 might look like on Unreal Engine 5.
