John Wick 5 Officially Announced With Keanu Reeves

Lionsgate has officially announced John Wick 5, the next installment in the action-packed franchise about the assassin, at CinemaCon 2025. Keanu Reeves will reprise his role as John Wick.

Lionsgate kept plot details, casting information, the start date for filming, and the release date for the fifth installment under wraps. Chad Stahelski is confirmed to direct.

In addition to the fifth film, a full-length animated movie exploring John Wick's past and a spin-off focused on the blind assassin Caine are also in development.

In related news, the release dates for the animated film Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse and the film Spider-Man: The Spectacular New Day were recently revealed. And shortly before that, Netflix released a trailer for the seventh season of the science fiction series Black Mirror.
