Free SWAT Commander Prologue Drops on Steam

A free prologue for the in-development co-op tactical shooter SWAT Commander has launched on Steam. As for the full version, it's expected to launch before the end of 2025.

The free version, entitled Hot Reception, throws players into a single mission. Whether going solo or teaming up with others, you'll investigate a crime scene at an auto repair shop rocked by a gang shootout. Three modes are available: apprehending dangerous suspects, eliminating barricaded criminals, and defusing a ticking bomb.

However, initial player reviews on Steam are largely negative. The project is being described as a poor imitation of Ready or Not, plagued by terrible optimization, lackluster graphics, and questionable enemy AI.
