Steam Accidentally Reveals Release Date for Mafia: The Old Country
April 11, 2025, 08:37 AM

Last night, Hangar 13 announced a Mafia: The Old Country developer panel set for May 8 at PAX East. “Mafia fans understand the seriousness of breaking Omertá, so don't miss this chance to uncover the origins of organized crime,” reads the official post on Steam.
However, the post also briefly mentioned that the game is set to launch on August 8, 2025, with pre-orders already available. The release date was likely meant for a formal reveal during the May event, as the info was quickly removed.
Mafia: The Old Country is a prequel to the original Mafia, telling the story of a young Don Salieri. The game is set in early 1900s Sicily, during the dawn of his criminal career.
