April 14, 2025, 09:01 AM

Season 2 of The Last of Us officially kicked off on April 14, with the first episode, Future Days, now available to stream on HBO Max.
To mark the premiere, HBO dropped another trailer featuring plenty of new footage — including a scene of Ellie boxing, which wasn’t in the games.
The network has already renewed The Last of Us for a third season, which will adapt the second half of The Last of Us: Part 2, and is expected to focus largely on Abby.
Season 2 will consist of seven episodes, with the finale set to air on May 25.
