A solo developer from Wizard Team is working on Crime Detective: Red Flags — a first-person indie horror inspired by the real-life case of the Oakland County Child Killer, who operated in 1976–1977.
The gameplay takes cues from the Fears to Fathom series. The story follows a high schooler under house arrest who begins spying on his neighbors with binoculars, only to discover something far more disturbing than he expected.
The game focuses on exploration, object interaction, and character dialogue. One standout feature is “voice activity,” which likely means players will need a microphone.
Crime Detective: Red Flags is set to launch on Steam in summer 2025 — and it’ll be completely free.
