Rockstar Says GTA 6 Trailer 2 Hit 475 Million Views in 24 Hours

The second Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer has officially broken the record set by the first. According to Rockstar, which shared the numbers with The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer racked up a staggering 475 million views across platforms in its first 24 hours.
By comparison, the game’s first trailer earned 93 million views—but was released exclusively on YouTube. The second trailer was also shared on X and other platforms, which significantly boosted its reach.
Rockstar called it the biggest video launch of all time. For context, the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer earned 365 million views on its first day, while the new Fantastic Four trailer debuted with 200 million.
The trailer also gave a massive boost to Hot Together by The Pointer Sisters, the song featured in the footage. In just a couple of days, streams of the track surged by 182,000%.
GTA 6 is set to launch on May 26, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Fans have already begun comparing its visuals to GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
