What Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Looked Like in 2020 — Fans Unearth Early Trailer

Fans of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have uncovered what may be the game’s very first trailer. Dated back to 2020, the video was originally created for actors invited to audition for voice roles.
The trailer was discovered in an old Reddit post. At the time, the game was in a very early stage of development and made heavy use of placeholder assets — including mechs and vikings. All character dialogue was generated using text-to-speech software.
The footage also contains numerous black screens where cutscenes were meant to appear but hadn’t yet been produced. A playable demo was later assembled to present to potential investors.
