Lian Li Debuts Power Supplies with Swivel Socket and Smart Cable Routing
Arkadiy Andrienko
At Computex 2025, Lian Li showcased its new RS-series power supply units (PSUs), designed to streamline PC builds for cases of all shapes and sizes. The standout feature? A highly adaptable design that lets users reconfigure cable layouts to suit their needs.
The RS series introduces a rotating power socket that swivels 90 degrees, making it easier to fit the PSU into tight or unconventional cases. Lian Li also added mirrored 24-pin (ATX) and 8-pin (EPS) connectors on opposite sides of the unit. This clever tweak eliminates cable length issues and reduces clutter — especially in setups where the PSU is mounted at the bottom in traditional cases or at the front in mini-PCs.
Around back, the PSUs feature a slot for a modular hub. Buyers can opt for either a 5-port USB hub for internal peripherals or a hybrid module that combines six-fan control with extra USB ports. This eliminates the need for separate controllers, freeing up space and simplifying builds.
The RS series will launch in three configurations:
- 1000W Base Model: $154.99
- 1000W + USB Hub: $159.99
- 1200W + USB Hub: $179.99
Availability is slated for Q3 2025. According to Lian Li, the RS line targets PC enthusiasts who tinker with custom builds and small-form-factor (SFF) system integrators, where clean cable management is paramount. Beyond their flexibility, these PSUs unify connector standards — a move that could cut build times and reduce the need for adapters in space-constrained rigs.
