Eagle-eyed Reddit users have spotted a surprise announcement hidden in CD Projekt’s Q1 2025 financial report: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive a special anniversary update — but only for current-gen consoles.
The update is being developed in partnership with mod.io and will bring full mod support to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. There’s no release date yet, but the update is expected to launch later this year.
Fans are already hoping to see popular mods included, such as Geralt’s cloak or Halk Hogan’s texture overhauls.
Previously, CD Projekt RED released a behind-the-scenes video on Witcher armor design and unveiled a limited-edition Xbox controller to mark the occasion. You can watch the anniversary trailer below.
