Microsoft & ASUS Unveil ROG Xbox Ally & Ally X Handheld Consoles

During the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, Microsoft and ASUS announced the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, a pair of handheld gaming consoles. The devices are scheduled for a Winter release, with pricing details yet to be revealed.

Both consoles feature a 7-inch, 1080p display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the ROG Xbox Ally is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z2 A Processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. The ROG Xbox Ally X steps things up with an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 processor, 24GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

The consoles will run Windows 11 and integrate seamlessly with Xbox services, including the Xbox PC app and Game Bar. The devices will also support a wide range of PC game platforms, including Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Battle.net.
