Lenovo Drops a $14 Mechanical Keyboard Packed with RGB, Hot-Swap Switches & Wireless

Meet the Lenovo Aurora GK10, a new mechanical keyboard punching way above its price tag. The killer feature? Full hot-swappable sockets that take all major mechanical switch types (both 3-pin and 5-pin). No soldering iron needed – just pop your preferred switches in and out to customize the feel. Lenovo's launching it with three switch options right out of the gate: clicky Blues for that satisfying snap and tactile bump, smooth linear Reds, and versatile Browns offering a quieter tactile experience. All switches are rated for a solid 50 million keystrokes.
The GK10 rocks a compact 98-key layout — you keep the numpad without the full desk footprint. Dimensions come in at roughly 15.2" x 5.5" x 1.5" (386x139x38mm), weighing in at 1.7 lbs (780g). It's got your back with vibrant RGB lighting featuring 20 dynamic effects, controllable via dedicated keys or Lenovo's Aurora software. That software also lets you sync the light show across other compatible Lenovo gear. The double-shot ABS keycaps should hold up to wear, while stabilizers on the big keys aim for smoother presses and less rattle. Adjustable feet let you dial in your typing angle, and rubber pads underneath keep things planted on your desk.
You can grab a wired-only version, or step up to a triple-mode model rocking wired USB-C, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 2.4GHz wireless dongle. The wireless model packs a hefty 4000mAh battery promising seriously long life between charges. The Aurora GK10 is a killer deal for anyone wanting to try mechanical keyboards for the first time, or just hunting for a versatile daily driver for work and play without breaking the bank. Enthusiasts will love it too – that hot-swap socket makes customization a breeze.
For now, it's officially only hitting shelves in China. The wired model starts at an insane $14, while the triple-mode wireless version clocks in at around $25.
