Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Superman, directed by Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn. The video coincides with the launch of ticket sales ahead of the film’s July 11 premiere and includes plenty of new footage — including some striking action scenes.
The story follows Clark Kent as he juggles his job at the Daily Planet with his superhero responsibilities, a balance that’s quickly disrupted by a confrontation with Lex Luthor.
Superman is the first major film in the rebooted DC Universe. The cast includes David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult, along with Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Isabela Merced, and Milly Alcock.
Character posters featuring both heroes and villains from the film have also been making the rounds online.
