Eduard Zamikhovsky
The upcoming horror film Return to Silent Hill now has an official release date. The movie will hit theaters on January 23, 2026.
Return to Silent Hill is a direct adaptation of Silent Hill 2. The story follows James Sunderland, a young widower who receives a letter from his deceased wife, Mary, urging him to find her in their special place — the eerie resort town of Silent Hill.
The film is directed by Christophe Gans, who also helmed the original Silent Hill movie in 2006. The lead roles are played by Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) and Hannah Emily Anderson (Gangland Undercover).
Meanwhile, Bloober Team — the studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake — recently announced a reimagining of the original Silent Hill. And this fall, Silent Hill f, the first all-new entry in the franchise set in Japan, is expected to launch.
