Report: Amazon Shortlists Directors for Next James Bond Movie

Matthew Belloni of Puck News reports that Amazon is actively searching for a director for the next James Bond film. According to the journalist, five main contenders have either already pitched their vision for the franchise or are preparing to do so.
Here are the rumored frontrunners:
Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave);
Denis Villeneuve (Dune, Arrival);
Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World);
Jonathan Nolan (Westworld, Fallout);
Paul King (Paddington, Wonka).
Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) reportedly dropped out of the running.
Belloni adds that producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal are aiming to finalize a director this summer. The new Bond actor hasn’t been announced yet, though many still believe Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the frontrunner.
