James Gunn Says This 'Star Wars' Actress Would Make a Great Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot is officially out as Wonder Woman, and while DC hasn’t named a successor yet, James Gunn already has someone in mind — or at least someone he thinks would be a great fit.
Rumors recently began swirling that Andor star Adria Arjona might be stepping into the role. The speculation started after Gunn followed her on social media, prompting fans to connect the dots.
In a recent interview with Extra, Gunn clarified that his follow had nothing to do with casting — though he admitted Arjona would make an excellent Wonder Woman. The two previously worked together on the horror film The Belko Experiment back in 2016.
You know, I followed Adria Arjona on Instagram. But everybody came out, 'He just followed her! That means she's Wonder Woman!' She'd be a great Wonder Woman, by the way. But she was in a movie I made, you know, seven years ago. We've been friends and known each other since that time!
Gadot’s most recent appearances as Wonder Woman were in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash. Before that, the Amazon warrior had two solo films — though the second installment received mixed reviews.
