First Poster for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants Released

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon have released the first poster for the full-length animated film, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.

The film's plot revolves around SpongeBob venturing into the deepest depths of the ocean to battle the Flying Dutchman. Derek Drymon is directing, with a screenplay by Pam Brady and Matt Lieberman. The film is set to premiere in US theaters on December 19, 2025.

It's worth noting that Plankton: The Movie was released in March 2025, and Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie premiered in August 2024. Both of these features are available on Netflix. As a reminder, SpongeBob previously made an appearance in the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds trailer.
