The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Gets New Story Mode and Uncharted 4 Skins

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered has just received a surprise update that adds a new story mode — players can now replay the campaign in chronological order.

The mode offers a fresh perspective on the narrative and highlights where Ellie and Abby’s paths intersect. Developers recommend trying it after completing the main story, when players are already familiar with the full plot.

Completing the chronological mode unlocks special skins for Joel and Tommy inspired by Uncharted 4. These can be used in the roguelike No Return mode.

The update is now available on PC and PS5.
