Medieval Open-World RPG Of Ash and Steel Enters Testing on Steam

The closed beta for the open-world RPG Of Ash and Steel has launched on Steam. The game is being developed by Russian studio Fire & Frost, and players have access to the prologue and the beginning of the first chapter during the beta.

Of Ash and Steel is a single-player, third-person medieval RPG inspired by the iconic Gothic series. The game is set in the Kingdom of the Seven, on the once-prosperous island of Greyshaft, which has fallen into internal strife and banditry. The project promises players over 300 quests, 180 weapons, 30 monster types, 200 crafting recipes, 3 pets, 80 random world events, 5 hours of music, and more. According to the developers, the main development phase of the game was completed in April, and they are currently focusing on testing, optimization, and polishing.

Of Ash and Steel is slated for release on PC (Steam) before the end of 2025.
