SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off, the mobile game, has officially arrived on Steam. Unlike its mobile counterpart, the PC version is a paid title.
SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off is a culinary-themed game featuring characters from the beloved "SpongeBob SquarePants" cartoon, originally released on Google Play and the App Store in 2020. The game's objective is to help Mr. Krabs expand his restaurant empire. Players must cook Krabby Patties, pancakes, barbecues, and more, serving the residents of Bikini Bottom, including Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, and Squidward, as well as decorate restaurants to give them a personalized touch. Microtransactions have been removed from the PC version; all decorations, costumes, and kitchenware are now free. Additionally, the Steam version includes four new power-ups not found in the mobile version.
In other SpongeBob news, earlier this month, THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp Studios announced SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide, a 3D platformer. The upcoming game's story revolves around a falling-out between The Flying Dutchman and King Neptune, which turns Bikini Bottom into a ghost town. It's up to SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick to reconcile the two self-absorbed titans and save the town.
As a reminder, Paramount Pictures previously released the first trailer and poster for the full-length animated movie, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. The movie is slated for theatrical release in the US on December 19, 2025.
