Resident Evil: Survival Unit, a new free-to-play horror strategy game, has quietly soft launched on Google Play. Currently, the game is only available in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. A global release date has not yet been announced.
Resident Evil: Survival Unit is a mobile spin-off set in an alternate universe. Players take on the role of an Umbrella Corporation test subject who has escaped from a hospital. Teaming up with iconic characters from the series, players must build and manage their own base, solve puzzles, embark on expeditions, and engage in tactical battles against hordes of zombies and mutants. The character roster includes familiar faces such as Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, Ethan Winters, Ada Wong, Marvin Branagh, Robert Kendo, Barry Burton, Becca Woollett, Alyssa Ashcroft, and more. All characters can be upgraded to improve their combat abilities.
YouTuber Techzamazing has already gotten his hands on the game, and uploaded a video showcasing the first 19 minutes of gameplay.
In related news, the free-to-play post-apocalyptic strategy game Fallout Storm Survival also recently launched on Google Play.
