New Bloodlines 2 trailer showcases deadly powers of the Ventrue clan

The Chinese Room has released a new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, spotlighting the Ventrue. One of the oldest clans in the World of Darkness, the Ventrue specialize in mind control — and their manipulations often end in death.
The Ventrue come with a passive ability called “Flesh of Marble,” which reduces incoming damage. At the start, players will have access to two clan powers — “Dominate” and “Presence” — with more unlocking over time:
- “Terminal Decree”: Command a mortal to kill themselves.
- “Possession”: See through enemy's eyes and control them for a period.
- “Cloud Memory”: Cause a target to forget you were there.
- “Mass Manipulation”: Apply Ventrue and Affect abilities to all enemies within view.
- “Resilience” — Clan Perk: Increases the amount of health restored by feeding.
Over the next six weeks, the studio will debut trailers for other clans: Tremere (September 10), Brujah (September 17), Banu Haqim (September 24), Lasombra (October 2), and Toreador (October 15).
As a reminder, the standard edition of the game includes just four clans. Playing as Lasombra or Toreador requires the premium edition — a controversial decision that sparked community backlash. The developers have promised to revisit the issue but haven’t shared details yet.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 launches October 21 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. We’ve already gone hands-on with a preview build — you can read our impressions here.
