What do you get if you cross Shogun, Squid Game, and Battle Royale? A new Netflix series! The streaming giant has released the debut trailer for Last Samurai Standing, which follows 292 samurai competing for a massive cash prize.

The story takes place at the end of the 19th century. It centers on a group of warriors who arrive at Kyoto’s Tenryu-ji temple to take part in a deadly tournament. The rules are simple: the winner must collect all the wooden tokens given to participants and deliver them to Tokyo.

The creators promise a full-throttle action series with plenty of spectacular fight scenes. One sequence alone was filmed over several days and involved more than 1,000 people.

The show is based on the novel series of the same name by Shogo Imamura. It is directed by Michihito Fujii, known for the drama The Last 10 Years and the series Samurai Gourmet. The lead role is played by Junichi Okada.

The premiere of Last Samurai Standing will take place on November 13. The show will consist of six episodes.

Earlier, Netflix released the final episodes of Wednesday Season 2 — you can read our review here. And later this fall, the final season of Stranger Things will kick off.
