Publisher Gaijin Entertainment and developer Matter Team have announced the Early Access launch of their hardcore online shooter, Active Matter, on PC. The game is now available via the Gaijin Store.

Players can choose from four editions of the shooter: Standard, Advanced, Premium, and "Elite Squad." The most expensive "Elite Squad" edition includes 135,000 credits, 3,800 Active Matter crystals, 16 weapon models (including the PKM machine gun, M110A1 sniper rifle, SCAR-L assault rifle, SPAS-12 shotgun, hunting crossbow, Scorpion EVO 3 submachine gun, MP-443 pistol, combat hammer, and combat knife), 8 weapon modifications, various pieces of equipment, and more.

The current Early Access version features dozens of PvPvE and PvE raids across diverse locations set on a Soviet-era-themed island and in Africa. Players will encounter various anomalies on these maps, including gravity-distorting zones and ball lightning, as well as mutants and gigantic bosses. The game also includes a PvP mode where battles unfold on the global "Nexus Battle" map featuring Aztec temples and futuristic skyscrapers. Vehicles are also available for use in combat.

To run the game with minimum graphics settings at 1080p and 30 FPS, you'll need Windows 10 or Windows 11, an Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card, 8 GB of RAM, and 45 GB of free SSD space. For maxed-out graphics at 4K and 60 FPS, a computer with an Intel Core i7-14700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card, and 32 GB of RAM is recommended.

Active Matter is planned for release on Steam and consoles in 2026. The game's page has already appeared on Valve's platform.
