YouTube channel i7 3770 Benchmark put the PC version of Borderlands 4 through its paces, following its Steam release and the user backlash over its poor optimization. The YouTuber ran the game on a gauntlet of budget GPUs: the GTX 970, GT 1030, GTX 1050 Ti, GTX 1650, GTX 1660, and the RTX 3050 (6GB).
The game was tested with low graphics settings and FSR/DLSS set to "Performance" mode. The test rig included an Intel Core i7-3770 CPU, 16GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

Borderlands 4's launch on Steam wasn't exactly smooth, with initial user reviews sitting at a mere 35% positive. Thankfully, the rating climbed to 52% within a few hours. Despite the rocky reception, the game did see a strong PC launch overall, peaking at over 200,000 concurrent players on Valve's platform alone. Critics, on the other hand, seem to be enjoying the game, with an average score of 85/100 on OpenCritic (based on 32 reviews).
