The early access version of the free-to-play runner Angry Birds Rush, a brand-new entry in the series, has been released on Google Play and the App Store. Currently, the project is only available in the United States.

Angry Birds Rush is a mix of Angry Birds and Subway Surfers, where players must fling birds from a slingshot and collect coins while flying. Completing levels rewards gold coins, which can be spent on building and upgrading buildings in your settlement.

The Angry Birds are back in their most delightfully chaotic adventure yet — Angry Birds Rush! Bounce, bash, and ricochet your way through famous moments in history as your favorite feathered friends cause glorious mayhem! Smash through pig-built Camps in ancient temples, medieval villages, and dazzling modern skylines — then rebuild your own before rival flocks swoop in for payback.

Angry Birds Rush is being developed by Dark Matter Gaming, which is owned by Rovio Entertainment. There is currently no information on when the game will be released globally.

It's worth mentioning that an animated film, Angry Birds Movie 3, is in production. John Rice, who worked on the second film, is directing. Thurop Van Orman is writing the script. The premiere is scheduled for January 29, 2027.

Previously, a new mobile game, Tom and Jerry Blast, was announced, developed by Steer Studios from Saudi Arabia. Before that, the first-person horror Nightmares Within was released on Android.
