On September 18, leaked gameplay footage from Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra surfaced online, giving fans a first look at the cinematic action game starring Black Panther and Captain America. The materials were shared by MP1ST, citing one of the game’s developers.
The screenshots, taken from an early 2022–2023 build, showcase a variety of locations, including a hotel, the Paris metro, and city streets.
Alongside the stills, the developer also posted a short video featuring a Black Panther combat sequence. The clip highlights destructible environments and dynamic, parkour-driven battles. During one fight, the hero vaults across bar counters, sending bottles and furniture flying as he takes on enemy soldiers.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is being developed by Skydance New Media, led by Amy Hennig, best known for the Uncharted series. The story takes place in Nazi-occupied Paris in 1943, where Steve Rogers teams up with Wakandan king Azzuri to thwart Hydra’s plans.
The game was originally slated for late 2025, but in May the developers announced a delay, meaning comic book fans will have to wait a little longer.
