Reviewers are praising CrossWorlds for its generous roster of tracks, characters, and vehicles, coupled with strong graphics and performance. The dynamic gameplay, the portal mechanics that allow for mid-race teleports to other locations, a killer soundtrack and a robust customization system are also highlighted as positives. Some critics noted the lack of voice acting for guest characters, the absence of a compelling storyline, and a somewhat limited selection of single-player modes as drawbacks.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches on September 25, 2025, for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. A Nintendo Switch 2 release is planned for a later date. The game will be available in two editions: a standard edition for $70 and a deluxe edition for $90, which includes a season pass featuring additional characters, vehicles, and tracks.
In related news, the first review has dropped for the upcoming horror title Silent Hill f, also slated for release on September 25th.
