The survival shooter Lost Rift by People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm, Outriders, and the early Gears of War titles, has launched in Steam Early Access.
Lost Rift is a first-person adventure shooter featuring an open world and survival elements. Players can explore a mysterious island solo or in teams of up to five, building bases, crafting essential gear, completing PvE quests, engaging in firefights, and hunting wildlife such as monkeys, giant bugs, hyenas, tapirs, dodo birds, and goats. According to the developers, the current version includes nearly 100 missions, offering 20–30 hours of gameplay. The game also features a PvPvE mode where 15 players embark on an expedition to the island, gather loot, and attempt to evacuate. The Early Access period is expected to last around 12 months.
