Hollow Knight: Silksong beaten under an hour — new speedrun world record

While players are sharing screenshots of the credit screen of Hollow Knight: Silksong after playing for solid number, even hundreds, of hours, user Nebula has shocked the community with a speedrun in 58 minutes and 52 seconds.

This is the first such result in the Any% speedrun category — player must complete the game as quickly as possible, side quests optional. In description, the author shares, punctuation and spelling preserved: "Mist route is actually slightly outdated. Going through Last Judge is now about 40 seconds faster to an average Mist (this can potentially be like 30s if your average (run time — editor's note) is rly good), but the route requires some difficult skips to make it that fast". Nebula's score surpassed the opening of game categories on Speedrun.com, one of the main portals dedicated to speedruns with leaderoards.

The game includes an achievement for a 100% speedrun completion—also purportedly a speedrun.
