The PC versions of the action RPG Code Vein 2 and the beat ’em up Yakuza Kiwami 3 Dark Ties will feature Denuvo anti-tamper protection. This information was revealed on the games’ Steam pages.
Code Vein 2 tells the story of an immortal hunter who travels back in time with a girl named Lou to prevent a catastrophic disaster. The game is set to launch on January 30. On the US Steam store, the standard edition is priced at $70. A new trailer was released earlier.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 Dark Ties is a remake of the 2009 action game Yakuza 3, which also includes a spin-off centered on Yoshitaka Mine. The project will be released on February 11. The standard edition is available for $60 on US Steam. SEGA previously unveiled the game’s debut trailer.
Code Vein 2 is being developed by Bandai Namco Studios for PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The team behind Yakuza Kiwami 3 Dark Ties is Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The game will launch on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
It’s worth noting that earlier in September, Capcom removed Denuvo from the zombie action game Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. Prior to that, the survival simulator Stranded: Alien Dawn also lost its anti-tamper system.
Previously, the hacker group Skidrow made headlines when they successfully removed Denuvo from a non-Unity engine game for the first time.
