As part of the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct presentation, Tripwire Interactive unveiled a trailer for the upcoming content update Rearmament for the co-op shooter Killing Floor 3.
The upcoming update will introduce three new weapons to the horror shooter — the Streik Dual Defender shotgun, the MKR-350 assault rifle, and the semi-automatic M14 EBR MOD 0 rifle. It will also revamp the perk system (allowing players to mix and match any specialist with any perks), adjust balance, improve performance, and fix bugs. No release date has been announced yet.
According to the roadmap, by the end of 2025, the game will receive a new map called Prison, a specialist named DJ Scully, and additional weapons. In 2026, two more maps, new weapons, enemies, a boss, and more content are planned.
Killing Floor 3 launched on July 24 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game fell short of player expectations, garnering only 42% positive reviews on Steam. Critics were also lukewarm in their reception of the shooter.
