With Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Ghost of Yotei sharing so many similarities, it was only a matter of time before a detailed graphics comparison appeared. Popular YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits released a 40-minute breakdown examining the visual and technical differences between the two games.
The video compares character models, open-world details, physics, vegetation, and lighting, while also highlighting distinctions in combat mechanics — both titles feature a similar range of weapons, offering plenty to analyze.
Despite controversies surrounding both projects, viewers have praised Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Ghost of Yotei alike. Many note that Ubisoft achieved greater realism, while Sucker Punch focused more on artistic expression and atmosphere.
Ubisoft always had the best open worlds with the worst mission structure and story. Literally what ubisoft lacks sucker punch has, and what sucker punch lacks ubisoft has.
Shadows is a more realistic look, and Yotie is a more stylish look. Both are great games.
Its crazy how much more vibe and atmosphere Yotei has. And the improvements over Tsushima are massive and amazing. But there's no denying how amazing the open world of Shadows is on a technical level, plus the physics are insane.
I can't be only one who thinks AC shadows look better right?
Earlier, ElAnalistaDeBits published two other videos — one comparing Ghost of Yotei to the original Ghost of Tsushima, and another showcasing the PS5 and PS5 Pro graphics modes.
Ghost of Yotei launches on October 2 for PlayStation 5. You can check out the game’s early review scores here.
