Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow Gameplay Trailer Released

Studio Maze Theory has released a gameplay trailer for the VR action game Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow, a spin-off of the Thief series. The game is in development for PC (SteamVR), PS VR2, Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest 3S.
In Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow, players step into the shoes of a skilled thief known as The Magpie. The protagonist must uncover a sinister conspiracy and reveal the dark secrets lurking within a city patrolled by the ruthless Baron Ulysses Northcrest’s guards. Players will climb rooftops, pickpocket guards, crack locks, eliminate enemies, and much more.
In the trailer, you’ll see a wide range of tools and abilities in action: sneaking past guards or taking them down with your blackjack, precise pickpocketing and lockpicking, a variety of specialized arrows for every situation, and using glyph vision to uncover hidden secrets.
Thief wouldn’t be Thief without its iconic toolkit, and you’ll find plenty of fan favorites here. From the blackjack to the lockpick, and of course, the bow with its array of specialized arrows. In VR, each one takes on a new life. Knocking out a guard with your own swing of the blackjack, or carefully aiming a water arrow to extinguish a torch is not just gameplay, it’s an experience you feel in your hands.
Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow is being developed by the UK-based studio behind VR titles like Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time (61% Steam rating), Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins (91% Steam rating), Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom Complete Edition (51% Steam rating), and Infinite Inside.
The game is scheduled for release by the end of 2025, with no exact date announced yet.
