A free demo for the superhero beat 'em up Marvel Cosmic Invasion launched on Steam on September 1st. Players have been highly impressed, with the demo earning a 95% positive review score.

This is an excellent beat 'em up! Each hero has fantastic animations and a wide range of abilities. As a huge fan of all of Dotemu's beat 'em ups, this feels like their absolute best. I also want to give a massive shout-out to Tribute Games for TMNT and now this Marvel beat 'em up — they're one of the few studios still tackling this genre, and definitely one of the best at it. Seriously, the demo is pure joy; I can't wait for the full game!

The demo is fantastic, exactly what I expected from the Dotemu and Tribute team. It's a vibrant, old-school beat 'em up, but with its own unique twists. I particularly loved the mechanic of playing with two characters simultaneously. It allows for diverse combos and caters to any playstyle, pace, and preference.

A lively demo for a lively beat 'em up. Throughout the first two locations, I couldn't shake the feeling that this was TMNT all over again. All in all, eagerly awaiting the full release!

If you enjoyed Shredder's Revenge, this is basically that, but: first, it's even cooler, and second, it's Marvel. I'm really looking forward to the release and will buy it day one. If there was a pre-order option, I would have already snatched it up, but alas.

The demo features two levels—New York and the Helicarrier—and nine playable characters: She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Venom, Phyla-Vell, Spider-Man, Storm, Wolverine, Nova, and Captain America. The full version of Marvel Cosmic Invasion is set to release before the end of 2025.

In other news, Steam recently saw the release of a demo for the third-person horror game PSYCHO DEAD, which has been likened to Resident Evil.
