Players Have Spent Over 25 Million Hours in Dying Light: The Beast

Techland shared some impressive stats for Dying Light: The Beast from its first 12 days after launch. According to the data, players have logged a staggering 25.6 million hours in the new zombie action game from the Polish studio.
Here’s the breakdown:
- The protagonist died 168,933 times;
- 2,289,451,369 zombies were killed;
- 189,117,800 hours were spent playing at night;
- Players traveled 152,185,635 kilometers on foot;
- 23.6 million Molotov cocktails were thrown;
- 59.5 million headshots were landed;
- 112.8 million executions were performed;
- 19.6 million kilometers were driven by players;
- 3.1 million vehicles were destroyed;
- 334.7 million zombies were run over;
- 302.3 million zombies were dismembered;
- The protagonist died 1.2 million times at the hands of Volatiles;
- 3.6 million revolver headshots were made;
- 266,500 zombies were killed with a flamethrower;
- 26.5 million weapons were repaired;
- 77.1 million weapons were destroyed;
- The most popular weapon was the Reinforced Camp Axe.
Dying Light: The Beast launched on September 18 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The story follows Kyle Crane’s fate after escaping the log where he’d been trapped for 13 years. Players have responded positively to the game — it currently holds an 88% positive rating on Steam.
Earlier, the PC version of Dying Light: The Beast was run on a POCO F6 Pro smartphone equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor using an emulator, and the FPS performance was showcased. Prior to that, references to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter, and Minecraft were discovered within the game.
