Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Could Launch in 2027

It looks like Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the next major title from Naughty Dog, may have a tentative release window. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the studio has started hiring localization specialists.
Since localization typically begins in the later stages of development, many players are speculating that the game could arrive within the next year. A 2026 release seems unlikely — especially with Marvel’s Wolverine expected to launch that fall — but 2027 appears to be a realistic target.
Earlier, Neil Druckmann, the head of Naughty Dog, described Intergalactic as the studio’s most ambitious project yet. The story follows Jordan, a mercenary stranded on the mysterious planet Sempiria, which has been isolated from the rest of the galaxy for centuries. One of the game’s central themes will be loneliness.
In May, reports revealed that Naughty Dog is also developing a second project, though this one is not being directed by Druckmann.
