Announcing GNAW: A Dinosaur-Themed Metroidvania

Redstart Interactive has announced a 2D metroidvania about dinosaurs called GNAW. The developers have released the debut trailer along with several screenshots.
Set in the decaying city of New Dino, GNAW challenges players to save the metropolis from destruction. Taking on the role of Mac Ripley, a dinosaur with supernatural powers, players will explore diverse locations, meet quirky characters, and battle terrifying creatures. The game features 16 unique abilities, dozens of regions, and over 150 monster types.
New Dino is the heart of saurian civilization — a bustling metropolis filled with dinosaurs big and small. All species lived here in peace… or at least they did until something disrupted the natural order. Mac Ripley finds himself caught in a strange and unexpected web of mysterious scientific experiments and bizarre events. Now, he must uncover the truth and save the world from extinction.
GNAW is set to launch in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. A free demo featuring the starting area is already available on Steam.
It’s also worth mentioning that a demo for the bitemup-roguelike hybrid Mad King Redemption has recently dropped on Steam. Prior to that, a demo for the superhero game Marvel Cosmic Invasion was released on PC.
