Original System Shock 2 to Be Delisted

Nightdive Studios announced that on October 10, 2025 the original 1999 version of System Shock 2 will be delisted. Players will no longer be able to purchase it separately.
The studio noted that System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, the updated version of the role‑playing shooter, will remain on sale. Purchasing the remaster will grant owners the original version for free.
System Shock 2 (1999) will be delisted from PC platforms on October 10, 2025. Existing owners of System Shock 2 (1999) will still be able to re-download and play it from their library, but new users will no longer be able to purchase System Shock 2 (1999) as a standalone product. At the time of delisting, System Shock 2 (1999) will be made available with the purchase of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster. Both new and existing owners of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will be able to access System Shock 2 (1999) from their library at no additional cost.
The System Shock 2 remaster launched on June 26, 2025. It features improved graphics, updated character and weapon models, mod support, cross‑platform co‑op, 50 achievements, and 144 FPS support.
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The PC version launched on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
