Acer Debuts Sleek Gaming Laptop Featuring GeForce RTX 5070 Graphics

Acer has unveiled the new Predator Triton 14 AI, a gaming laptop that combines high performance for both gaming and creative work within a sleek chassis. A key highlight is its portability. With a profile thinner than 17.5mm and a 14.5-inch screen, it's designed to slip easily into a standard laptop bag—a notable feat for a device with this much power, as gaming models are typically much larger.
Despite its compact form factor, engineers have managed to equip it with a GeForce RTX 5070 GPU and an Intel Core Ultra 9 285V processor. A common issue with such powerful, slim laptops is overheating, but the Triton 14 tackles this with an advanced cooling system. It uses a graphene thermal interface and custom AeroBlade 3D fans, which Acer claims effectively manage heat and keep noise levels low, even under heavy loads.
The laptop features a 2880x1800 pixel OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, making it appealing not just to gamers but also to designers and video editors. An added convenience is the display's touch input capability.
The base configuration comes with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB solid-state drive, with a 2TB SSD version also available. Pricing for the Acer Predator Triton 14 AI starts at $2,600.
This launch follows Acer's continued interest in developing specialized portable solutions, such as the Swift Air 16 ultrabook announced at IFA 2025. That model focuses on an ultra-lightweight design—weighing in at under one kilogram—and a powerful NPU for AI tasks.
