Best Free New Releases on Steam for September Unveiled

Valve has revealed the top 50 new releases in September on Steam based on revenue generated in the first two weeks post-launch. The list features four free-to-play titles:

Arena Breakout: Infinite — a tactical shooter with realistic graphics;
Warborne Above Ashes — a sci-fi MMO with PvP battles;
skate. — a multiplayer skateboarding simulator from EA;
Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra — a team-based fighting game featuring Dragon Ball characters.

When it comes to paid games, the most successful titles included:

CloverPit — a horror roguelike, a mix of Balatro and Buckshot Roulette;
Silent Hill f — a horror game about a schoolgirl from a small Japanese town;
Jump Space — a cooperative space PvE shooter;
EA Sports FC 26 — a football simulator from EA;
NBA 2K26 — a basketball simulator from 2K;
Megabonk — an action survival roguelike;
Hollow Knight: Silksong — a 2D metroidvania inspired by Dark Souls;
Shape of Dreams — a blend of action roguelike and MOBA;
Borderlands 4 — a looter-shooter with an open world;
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds — a racing game featuring Sonic the Hedgehog characters;
Dying Light: The Beast — a zombie action game with an open world;
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles — a Japanese tactical RPG.

Earlier, we published a selection of new free games on Steam. This compilation featured the action roguelike Irian: City of ruin, third-person action game The Treasure Below, 3D puzzle game Haze, action strategy Endure: The Middle Age, top-down shooter Bat Blitz, and several other projects.
