GameSpot has released a comparison video pitting Halo: Combat Evolved against Halo: Campaign Evolved – a fan-made campaign remake currently being developed in Unreal Engine 5.

Adding to the comparisons, YouTuber Cycu1 also published another video showcasing the original game versus the remake.

Furthermore, Cycu1 took it a step further, comparing the remake to the official remaster.

For those who want the full picture, a new video has emerged featuring a direct comparison of all three versions: the original, the remaster, and the fan-made remake.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to deliver revamped visuals, updated cinematics, refined controls, enhanced audio, three new missions starring Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson, nine additional weapons from other entries in the series (including the Energy Sword, Battle Rifle, and Needle Rifle), gameplay-altering modifiers, as well as four-player online co-op and local split-screen co-op (console only).

Halo: Campaign Evolved is currently slated for release in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
