NVIDIA has introduced its latest GeForce Game Ready 581.80 graphics driver package, which has already received WHQL certification. The update aims to boost performance in several games and resolves a number of specific issues users have been facing.

This new driver version is designed to deliver maximum responsiveness and image stability in three major titles: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which will leverage DLSS 4 capabilities, as well as the strategy games Anno 117: Pax Romana and Europa Universalis V, which will gain support for DLSS Super Resolution technology.

The developers have squashed several key bugs. For instance, owners of systems with the rather dated Intel Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors will no longer experience application crashes when using the Vulkan API. Furthermore, engineers have optimized frame generation (DLSS Frame Generation) in the racing simulator F1 25; after the update, the game should exhibit more stable frame rates without dips during races.

As with any major update, a few issues remain to be addressed in future versions. Notably, a problem in Counter-Strike 2 has been lingering for almost a year now, where using a resolution lower than native can cause font distortion. Additionally, in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, some system configurations may still experience flickering light sources.

The new driver is available for download now, both through the official NVIDIA App and directly from the manufacturer's website. Installing the latest software is recommended for all gamers who are planning to play new releases or have encountered the issues mentioned above.
