‘The Witcher’ Falters Without Henry Cavill — Season 4 Viewership Drops by Half

The Witcher’s fourth season has finally premiered on Netflix — and the first numbers don’t look great. According to data shared by Redanian Intelligence, the new episodes pulled in 7.4 million views, compared to 15.2 million for Season 3 over the same time period.
Season 4 debuted at #2 among Netflix’s top English-language shows, behind the second season of the rom-com Nobody Wants This. That marks a first for The Witcher — all previous seasons and spin-offs had opened in the top spot.
While these are only early figures, there’s little sign of improvement so far. The season currently holds a 58% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, with audience approval plunging to just 20%.
Season 4 of The Witcher premiered on October 30, accompanied by a special episode centered on the “Rats” gang.
