Official: GTA 6 Delayed Again — Now Set for November 19, 2026

Rockstar Games officially announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed once more — the new release date is November 19, 2026. The announcement came during Take-Two Interactive’s Q2 financial report. Originally scheduled for fall 2025, then postponed to May 2026, the game has now been delayed for the second time.
According to the statement, the team needs “additional time to finish the game with the high level of polish players expect and deserve.” Take-Two added that it fully supports Rockstar and is confident the studio will deliver “an unrivaled blockbuster entertainment experience.”
We’ve had more time for development, and we’re grateful to Rockstar for their continued pursuit of excellence.
The delay comes amid internal turmoil — just last week, Take-Two laid off dozens of employees, accusing them of “serious misconduct” and information leaks. The fired developers claim the real reason was their involvement in union-related discussions. Protests were held today outside Rockstar North and Take-Two UK offices.
Meanwhile, the publisher reported record revenue of $1.96 billion, with NBA 2K26, Mafia: The Old Country, and Borderlands 4 contributing to the best second quarter in company history. GTA 5 continues to sell strongly, surpassing 220 million copies sold worldwide.
