Battlefield 6 Players Are Flocking to Arc Raiders — Embark’s Shooter Offers What BF Can’t

While Battlefield 6 continues to lose momentum, Arc Raiders has suddenly become the new home for shooter fans. On Reddit and Steam, players admit that Embark Studios’ latest title gives them what Battlefield no longer does — freshness, atmosphere, and a non-toxic community.
According to Steam Charts, Arc Raiders’ peak concurrent player count is now approaching that of Battlefield 6, while DICE’s shooter has seen a steady decline since early November. Players say the reason is simple — BF6 “feels like the same game as always.”
Arc just has way more atmosphere. In Battlefield you’re constantly surrounded by chaos, but here there’s tension, silence, a real sense of danger.
Arc Raiders uses a PvPvE model, where players face not only each other but also deadly machines, striking a balance between action and survival. Add crafting, progression, and a surprisingly calm player base — where strangers often help each other instead of shooting — and it’s easy to see why Embark’s project is booming.
Battlefield 6 still boasts solid numbers, but the trend is clear: a growing slice of its audience is migrating to the Rust Belt, where Arc Raiders delivers tension, discovery, and something truly new. The game recently topped the Steam sales charts, surpassing Battlefield 6 entirely.
