Pluribus, a new dystopian drama from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, has premiered on Apple TV+. The series stars Rhea Seehorn — best known as Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul.
The show follows a world struck by a mysterious “happiness virus” that leaves people permanently euphoric. Carol, a writer who is somehow immune, is one of the few who can still feel negative emotions. While others try to “treat” her unhappiness, she begins to uncover what’s actually happening.
The first two episodes (out of nine) are now streaming. New episodes drop weekly through December 26.
Early reception is strong: Pluribus holds an 85 on Metacritic and a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 27 reviews. Critics are calling it “TV's next great show” that deserves your attention.
