Crytek Reveals 2026 Roadmap for Hunt: Showdown

Crytek has published a roadmap detailing the future support for their PvPvE shooter, Hunt: Showdown 1896. The developers outlined what content players can expect in the coming updates.

According to the roadmap, the shooter will receive new challenges and Update 2.6 with a new event by the end of 2025. In 2026, the developers plan to continue improving the anti-cheat system and the player matchmaking system. New weapons will be introduced, which, according to the creators, will unlock completely new tactical opportunities. The maximum number of players in a single mission will also increase. Tier 3 Hunters and the special "Inferno" condition will gradually return to the game. A multi-stage event with narrative-driven activities will take place in the shooter to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Furthermore, the authors will continue to enhance performance, fix bugs, and add new social features.

Crytek also revealed a teaser for the main character of the Lunar New Year event.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

In related news, it was recently announced that Embark Studios has sold over 2.5 million copies of their shooter Arc Raiders. Prior to that, the final system requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 appeared online.
