Valve Announces Three New Devices: Steam Machine, Steam Controller, and Steam Frame

Valve has officially announced the second generation of the Steam Machine and Steam Controller, as well as the Steam Frame VR headset. All three devices are set to release in early 2026.

The Steam Machine is marketed as a compact gaming PC running on SteamOS, boasting six times the power of the Steam Deck. It will support output via DisplayPort 1.4 (4K at 240Hz or 8K at 60Hz) and HDMI 2.0 (4K at 120Hz). The Steam Frame is a wireless virtual reality headset that will support all games from the Steam library. The Steam Controller features next-gen magnetic sticks, high-precision haptic feedback, and a gyroscope with grip support. The controller will work with all devices that have Steam installed.

  • Cameras: Four external monochrome cameras and two internal cameras

Pricing for the Steam Machine, Steam Controller, and Steam Frame has yet to be revealed.
